PURPOSE: A molecular marker relating Colletotrichum capsici resistant major gene(CcR9) is provided to quickly and accurately detect Colletotrichum capsici resistant plant without direct inoculation of Colletotrichum capsici. CONSTITUTION: A molecular marker relating to Colletotrichum capsici resistant major gene(CcR9) comprises nucleotides of sequence numbers 1 and 6. A primer for detecting Colletotrichum capsici resistant Capsicum annuum comprises a nucleotide of sequence number 1 or 6. A method for detecting Colletotrichum capsici resistant Capsicum annuum is performed by analyzing genome DNA of Capsicum annuum under the presence of the detection primer. The DNA analysis is performed by RFLP(restriction fragment length polymorphism), AP-PCR(arbitrarily primed PCR), STS(sequence tagged site), SCAR(sequence characterized amplified regions), ISSR(inter-simple sequence repeat amplication), AFLP(amplified fragment length polymorphism) CAPS(cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence) or PCR-SSCP(PCR-single-strand conformation polymorphism).
