PURPOSE: A method for obtaining eco-index of vehicles from a server for obtaining eco-index of vehicles is provided to calculate the emission amount of greenhouse gases per weight-distance which is an eco-index.;CONSTITUTION: A communication unit obtains the driving distance information of vehicles(S1). The communication unit obtains the oil consumption information of vehicles(S3). A control unit obtains the mileage information through the driving distance information and the oil consumption information(S5). The communication unit obtains the engine operation information of the vehicle and the control unit obtains the freight capacity information of the vehicle(S7).
