PURPOSE: A natural hair dye composition is provided to ensure color fastness without mordanting by using pigment extract derived from pomegranate rind. CONSTITUTION: A natural hair dye composition contains pigment extract derived from pomegranate rind. The pigment extract has maximum absorption wavelength of 372nm. A method for manufacturing the pigment extract comprises: a step of adding water to dried pomegranate rind and a step of freeze-drying by decompression. A method for dyeing hair using the composition comprises: a step of evenly applying the composition on hair; and a step of treating the hair at 38-40C for 20 to 40 minutes.
