Material ophthalmic devices containing! a) UV absorber / shortwave visible light of Formula (I)! ! wherein R1 represents halogen, OH, C1-C12-alkoxy, optionally substituted phenoxy or naphthyloxy optionally substituted, where the optional substituents are C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, OH, - (CH2CH2O) n- or - (CH2CH (CH3) O) n-; ! R2 represents C1-C12-alkyl, (CH2CH2O) n, (CH2CH (CH3) O) n, or CH2CH2CH2 (Si (CH3) 2O) mSi (CH3) 2CH2CH2CH2; ! X is absent when R2 is (CH2CH2O) n or (CH2CH (CH3) O) n, otherwise X is O, NR4 or S; ! R3 is absent or represents C (= O), C (= O) CjH2j, C1-C6-alkyl, phenyl or C1-C6-alkylphenyl; ! R4 represents H or methyl; ! R5 represents H, C1-C6-alkyl or phenyl; ! R6 represents H or C1-C12-alkyl; ! n equals 2-10; and! j is 1-6; ! b) a polymerizable yellow dye that attenuates light having wavelengths in the range of 430-500 nm; ! C) forming a monomer unit in an amount of 75% (by weight) or more; and! d) cross-linking agent, wherein the amount of UV absorber / short-wavelength visible light and the amount of polymerizable yellow dye sufficient to impart the material of ophthalmic devices following transmittance characteristics:
