The timepiece has a needle for displaying minutes (2) and another needle for displaying hours (3). An electronic unit performs chromatic tuning of a musical instrument. The electronic unit includes an acoustic signal sensor and a processing unit for processing received electro acoustic signals. The needles display information on the received electro acoustic signals, where the information includes a note whose frequency is closest to the frequency of the received signals. The needles visualize a calibration value of a reference frequency of a chromatic tuner. An independent claim is also included for a displaying method for a chromatic tuner using a portable timepiece.
