The method involves comparing geometric characteristics of structures of a medium of an eye with geometric characteristics, which are reconstructed from measuring data of local deep-scan and/or A-scan. Local scaling factors are determined from the determined comparison of the geometric characteristics. The medium of the eye is reconstructed by the local scaling factors in such a manner that two-dimensional representation or three-dimensional representation of the medium of the eye comprises absolute measuring values in all directions.
