The method involves inducing voltage into generator coils (3), which are arranged in a magnetic field of magnets i.e. electromagnet. A body (5) with permeability of space, which is penetrated by the magnetic field, is moved into another space. The body is directed at front sides of brackets and/or teeth of a core (7). The teeth are inwardly or outwardly arranged in a direction (V) perpendicular to a surface at rods in a radial manner, where the body is made of a ferromagnetic material i.e. iron. The electromagnet is provided with field coils (6). An independent claim is also included for a generator comprising a body.
