摘要

The method involves rotating a tool i.e. lapping-honing tool (10), about a rotational axis parallel to a surface of a component i.e. internal combustion engine, for machining the surface, where the tool is continuously rotatably moved. The tool is moved along directions perpendicular to the normal of the surface at equal length, where the tool has two tool bits (12, 14) that are movable in opposite directions. The tool bits are reciprocated and rotated at same speed, where the tool is provided with surface treatment parts i.e. honing-lapping tool parts (32, 34), made of polymer. An independent claim is also included for a machining tool for machining a surface of a component.
