The axial sliding bearing has a layout for producing low-friction, wear-free hydrodynamic lubrication pressure. A slide ring is inserted between its two axial bearing surfaces. The slide ring has an undulated molding in peripheral direction such that a series of wedge-shaped lubrication gaps is formed in the peripheral direction. An independent claim is also included for a sliding guide, which has a slider belt.
