The arrangement has optical elements provided between an object (1) and a sample (3) along an optical axis (13), transparent to an excitation element, and reflect light emitted from the sample. A light guide is coupled to a photon detector, and the sample is provided between a cover slip and a sample support (7). A spectral filter or mirror layer (11) is attached at a front side and a back side of the sample support. The photon detector and the light guide are provided between the optical elements that reflect the light to be detected.
