The detector has an evaluation element formed with a scintillator (1), a reflector or mirror (3), a lens (4), and a digital camera i.e. charge-coupled device camera. The reflector or mirror reflects light generated by the scintillator into a region estimatable by X-ray radiation, and a collimator is arranged above the scintillator. The digital camera is arranged in the region estimatable by the X-ray radiation and detects the reflected light. The digital camera is provided with a cooling element (51), a control element (52) and a frame grabber (53).
