The present invention relates to a gas distributor for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, which has at least one, usually a plurality of capillaries arranged continuously through the gas distributor, which serve for the passive discharge of water formed during operation of the polymer electrolyte fuel cell by capillary forces. Likewise, the present invention relates to a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having such a gas distributor.
