The metal- or ceramic powder-electropress comprises a press drive (2) that is arranged for driving a stamp arrangement for pressing a powder and/or granulates in a matrix (12) to a press part, a control device for controlling the press drive and pressing operation, and a current-supply connection (4) that provides the current. Between the current supply connection and the press drive, a direct current link (5) is connected with an energy storage device (30) for the supply of press drive with a driving current. The direct current link is switchable with the energy-storage device.
