The equipment (1) has a bowl (2) with a steam-permeable base (3) and a circulating edge (5) rotating at a top side. Tiltable closed handles (6) are arranged at the edge and tiltable between a working position in which the handles perpendicularly project from the bowl, and a resting position in which the handles rest against the bowl in the resting position. The handles are arranged at an exterior (8) of the edge by a pivoting joint (7). The handles are fixable by a detachable locking unit e.g. projection, in the working position. An independent claim is also included for a steamer system comprising steam equipment.
