The cell (11) has a terminal lug cranked such that the terminal lug lies on a connecting lug while stacking with another cell. Another connection lug connects a temperature and/or voltage sensor. A cooling or heating plate (12) is arranged between the cells, and includes boundaries (13) that are connected with each other by flexible webs (14). Pressure forces are transmitted directly to the cells from the boundaries, where the boundaries are made of 1 mm or 0.2 mm of very thin material i.e. plastic material. A cooling or heating element includes an inlet, a cooling surface and an outlet.
