The container (10) has a base part (12) comprising an upper edge section (16), which rotates a major axle (H) of the container. A cover part (14) is inserted into the upper edge section. Locking parts (36) are brought in a locking position by rectilinear approximation between a cover part (14) and the base part. A lid-side ring zone of the cover part lies upon a base-sided ring zone (30) of the upper edge section in the locking position. The locking parts are brought from the locking position into another locking position, in which the cover part is latched at the base part.
