Lubricant composition based on ionic liquids comprises at least 70-99.99 wt.% of ionic liquid(s), at least 0.01-5 wt.% of phosphoric acid ester(s), optionally 0-15 wt.% of solvent(s), and optionally 0-10 wt.% of additive(s) comprising corrosion inhibitors, defoamers, bactericides, detergent-active compounds, metal deactivators or solid lubricants.
