The method involves forming nozzles (4a-4d) on a distillation column (1). Cleaning fluid is sprayed under high pressure on installations i.e. bottoms (2a-2c), of the distillation column by the nozzles during operation of the distillation column. The installations are provided with openings (33a-33d) for escaping of vapor and with outlet shafts (3a-3c) for running-off of liquids. The nozzles are assigned to each of the installations, where the installations are arranged at the inside of claddings of the distillation column. An independent claim is also included for a device for removing contaminants and deposits from installations of a distillation column.
