The method involves obtaining (S12) information on an environment of a motor car, and predicting (S14) a travel path of the car. Rotational torque provided by a drive shaft is distributed (S18) as a function of the prediction, such that implementation of a demand is promoted when the demand is given for passing the predicted travel path. The environment is examined on presence of a curve and the torque is transferred to a wheel outwardly present in the curve than to a wheel inwardly present in the curve during detection of the curve for promoting the implementation of the demand.
