The oil pump (1) has a gear wheel (4) meshed with another gear wheel (3), where the gear wheels are rotatable around parallel rotating axes (5, 6) within a cabinet (2) and convey pressurized oil from the cabinet to a pressure side of the oil pump. A control unit controls the oil pressure by axial displacement of the former gear wheel and has pistons (18, 19) secured against rotation. Pressurized oil channels are guided from the pressure side of the oil pump to a side of the pistons opposite to the pressure side and extend through the pistons.
