The method involves temporarily closing a lower exit orifice (5) of a filler pipe (1) with a bottom part (4) of a cup-shaped pipe section (2) that exhibits a larger cross-section than that of the filler pipe. A limited filling amount of resin (3) is brought into the filler pipe using a tempered press tool by a relative movement between the bottom part of the cup-shaped pipe section and the lower exit orifice of the filler pipe. The cup-shaped pipe section is placed over a tool, where the bottom part of the cup-shaped pipe section is opened for filling the tool. An independent claim is also included for a device for filling a tool with free-flowing resins over a filler pipe.
