The device has a sealing plate (11), an adjusting unit (12) for the sealing plate and a sealing compound (13). The sealing plate is adjusted by the adjusting unit on the surface of a concrete component (1) within the range of another concrete component (2). A waterproof connection is formed with the sealing compound between the sealing plate and an upper surface of the former concrete component. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a construction joint between two concrete components.
