The structure (12) has an intermediate sole (14) arranged above an outer sole (13). A tread surface (15) is curved convexly from a rear heel (16) of the outer sole towards a front sole tip (17). A drop shaped elastic damping wedge (21) is arranged between the outer sole and the intermediate sole in a rear shoe region (18). The wedge extends from a middle-foot region (19) towards a ball of a foot (20) of a shoe-wearer. The damping wedge comprises soft polyurethane, intermediate sole is made of polyurethane, and the outer sole is made of thermoplastic rubber.
