The method involves demodulating OFDM signal with at least one carrier frequency and outputting an OFDM symbol by an OFDM demodulator (7). The OFDM symbol is assigned to an ideal constellation dot to form an ideal OFDM symbol. A difference signal is formed between OFDM symbol and ideal OFDM symbol, such that inverse Fourier transformation is computed from the formed difference signal. At least one noise pulse is displayed from the result of inverse Fourier transformation. An independent claim is included for device for acquisition of noise pulses in OFDM system.
