The vehicle (10) has a separate power supply unit (11) for supplying supplementary electrical power. The separate power supply unit is attached on a fixed trailer coupling (12) and a removable trailer coupling. The power supply unit comprises an internal combustion engine and a fuel cell unit in a region of fixed or removable trailer couplings. A supplementary support element (15) is arranged on a vehicle roof, a boot or a tailgate (14) for providing an auxiliary tank (16), where the auxiliary tank is arranged in a spare wheel. The internal combustion engine is selected from a group consisting of a gas engine, a diesel engine and a petrol engine.
