The method involves controlling and/or regulating current (id) and/or voltage (ud) of an electric machine (EM) i.e. electric drive motor, by modulating an acoustic signal (AS) such that components e.g. inductor and machine housing, of the machine are shifted in vibrations that correspond to the signal. A signal is modulated with frequency as the acoustic signal. The current is controlled and/or regulated by supplying signal current (ias). The voltage is controlled and/or regulated by supplying control voltage (ust) that corresponds to the acoustic signal.
