The method involves identifying a driving situation from predetermined driving situations based on detection of activity or non-activity of a driver. Predetermined control set-points of anti-roll devices are associated with the identified situation. The devices are controlled in accordance with the set-point associated with the identified situation. The activity of the driver is detected when a vehicle is in forward speed or in reverse speed and when a position of an accelerator pedal or an angle/speed of a steering wheel is equal to or higher than a threshold value.
