The mechanism (400) has leaves (200a, 200b) slidingly assembled with respect to each other and including two interior side sections (240a, 240b), where the side sections are oppositely placed when the leaves are arranged in a closing position of a window (100) or a door. The mechanism is assembled in interior side parts, so that the mechanism mutually locks the side parts to block leaf units in the closing position and to unlock the side parts to allow the leaves to freely slide. A bolt is assembled in a protection cap in an articulated manner.
