The method involves recording events in a database (34) during a preliminary phase of characterization of the events corresponding to noise of an installation before testing process. A physical quantity representing event occurred during the testing process is detected through measurements produced by sensors. Measurement characteristics of the detected events are compared with measurement characteristics of the event recorded in the database in a comparison phase (521). A fuel rod behavior representing event is identified based on the comparison result in an identification phase (523).
