Chemical element contents quantifying method for disc brake system of motor vehicle, involves analyzing fluid by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy to quantify chemical element contents of complex composite material
The method involves modifying a solid lining sample into fluid free from solid residue such as graphite/coke and silica. The fluid is analyzable by an inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) to quantify chemical element contents of a complex composite material, through double weighing-out. The contents are quantified by processing one mixture obtained by adding 1 gram of metaborate of anhydrous lithium to crucible made of platinum/gold alloy, and another mixture by adding 3 drops of concentrated sulfuric acid and 5ml of hydrofluoric acid to crucible made of platinum.
