The rod (1) has a hollow tube provided with a longitudinal opening (5) and a displacement unit displacing rings. The displacement unit has a projecting track i.e. longitudinal rib (3.2), in the longitudinal opening with respect to the hollow tube. The projecting track permits the displacement of the rings along the hollow tube. An insert (3) is housed in a hole of the hollow tube to form a core of the hollow tube. The projecting track is formed of external longitudinal stops (8.1, 8.2) for sliding of the rings. An independent claim is also included for a curtain suspension device comprising a curtain rod.
