The installation has an upper stage placed in a floor in which an opening (20) is formed. A displacement unit (5) i.e. bridge crane, allows vertical displacement of a load (4) i.e. feed hopper, between the upper stage and a lower stage (1) through the opening, and a horizontal displacement of the load at the upper stage. A safety lock (6) comprises two access doors (61, 62) that are equipped with an actuating device, where the device is arranged such that the opening of the one of the access doors drives the closing of the other door and vice versa.
