The method involves identifying a critical component (10) potentially generating forced excessive constraints on a sensitive component (40) i.e. tantalum condenser, and placing the identified critical component under a defect condition. An electric circuit (50) under tension is placed such that the critical component in defect generates excessive constraints on the sensitive component. Behavior of the electric circuit representative of a failure mode is measured.
