The method involves projecting fluid along a de-icing cycle activated by controllers (4, 5), where the cycle is defined by quantity parameter of fluid or flow of fluid and by variation of the parameter during the cycles according to information measured by a sensor (9). The fluid stored in a tank (1) is projected on a window glass (2) by a pump (3) controlled by each controller. The sensor is selected from optical transparency sensor or fouling sensor, or speed sensor of a blade, or sensor for sensing overload in an engine (8). An independent claim is also included for a windscreen wiping system for a window glass of a motor vehicle, comprising a pump.
