PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation preventive mechanism of a rocking plate and a constant velocity universal joint for constituting the same, that is endurable against use under lean lubrication in a swash plate type variable displacement compressor, superior in workability, has a high material yield and can reduce cost.;SOLUTION: The rotation preventive mechanism 36 of the rocking plate 18 of the swash plate type variable displacement compressor 1 includes a swash plate 13 for rotating by being connected to a driving shaft 6 rotatably supported in a housing and inclinable to the driving shaft 6, the rocking plate 18 for checking rotation, and a central shaft 30 supported by the housing for supporting the rocking plate 18. The rotation preventive mechanism 36 of the rocking plate 18 is constituted of the constant velocity universal joint 21, an outside joint member 22 of the constant velocity universal joint is installed on the rocking plate 18, and an inside joint member 23 is installed on the central shaft 30.
