PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dead reckoning device for vehicles being less affected by disturbance such as multi-pass and capable of improving accuracy.;SOLUTION: The dead reckoning device for vehicles includes: velocity vector calculating means being loaded in a vehicle and calculating a velocity vector from GPS information; tire rotating information detecting means for detecting rotation information of tires; yaw rate calculating means for calculating a yaw rate; parameter calculating means for sequentially calculating parameters of a relational expression between the vehicle speed and the tire rotation speed using an estimation algorithm; vehicle speed estimating means inversely estimating the vehicle speed from the parameters and the tire rotation speed: comparing means for comparing a determination value with a predetermined threshold, the determination value being based on a difference between the inversely-estimated vehicle speed and the vehicle speed calculated by the speed calculating means; and a first parameter calculating means, when the determination value is smaller than the threshold, sequentially calculating a first parameter between the vehicle speed and the tire rotation speed by a least-squares method using the GPS information and the tire rotation speed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
