PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erroneous detection caused by a rectangle, a straight line, a figure and the like except for an objective figure region and to improve accuracy of detection of the objective figure region.SOLUTION: A feature figure adding method comprises: a feature amount generating step for determining a feature amount which is previously determined in accordance with a figure given to objective image data and whose pixel value differs in accordance with a position area in the figure and outputting feature amount information showing the feature amount; a feature figure pattern generating step for generating a feature figure pattern showing a feature figure by the pixel value including the previously determined feature amount based on the inputted feature amount information and outputting information showing the feature figure pattern; and a rectangle adding step for giving the feature figure pattern to the objective image data, generating a feature figure added image and outputting image data of the feature figure added image.
