METHOD OF UPDATING SOFTWARE FOR CATV TRANSMISSION LINE APPARATUS AND CATV TRANSMISSION LINE APPARATUS USABLE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a CATV signal from being suspended during updating work by automatically updating software in a CATV center to reduce the update work.;SOLUTION: In the CATV center, software data of a semiconductor device in the CATV transmission line apparatus is read using a status monitor system, the software data is divided into two or more, an "order command" indicating a transmission order is given to the divided data, and a "last command" indicating the last data is given to the last divided data to transmit it to the CATV transmission line apparatus. The CATV transmission line apparatus receives the divided data with the "order command" and the "last command" which is transmitted from the CATV center and up to the last data with the "last command" is received to update the software written in the semiconductor device in the CATV transmission line apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
