PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clathrate hydrate having latent heat storage performance with a quaternary ammonium compound as a guest, high in heat storage density and capable of keeping its own favorable fluidity even when used as a heat transfer medium, to provide a method for producing the clathrate hydrate, and to provide a production system for the clathrate hydrate.SOLUTION: The clathrate hydrate, which has latent heat storage performance with a quaternary ammonium compound as a guest, is characterized in that the latent heat storage performance has been increased by including, in addition, a gas fed from the outside as another guest. The production system for producing the clathrate hydrate is also provided, being characterized by having: a mixer 5 for feeding the gas into an aqueous solution containing the quaternary ammonium compound to mix the gas into the aqueous solution; and a generator 9 for producing the clathrate hydrate increased in the latent heat storage performance through cooling the resultant aqueous solution mixed with the gas.
