PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a work load in preparing a data model for calculation, and to reduce a calculation load in solver processing without involving deterioration of analysis accuracy.SOLUTION: A physical quantity calculating method, in which a computer calculates a physical quantity in a numerical analysis method for numerically analyzing physical phenomena, comprises a physical quantity calculating process in which a physical quantity in an analysis area which is divided into multiple divided areas. In the physical quantity calculating process, the computer calculates the physical quantity by using a discretized governing equation which only uses quantity that does not require the coordinates (Vertex) of vertexes of the divided areas and connection information (Connectivity) of the vertexes, and which is read out from a storage device storing the discretized governing equation derived based on a weighted residual-integration method.
