PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a much more proper retrieval phrase to a user by enabling the user to quickly acquire his or her desired information by using a computer. PSOLUTION: This retrieval candidate phrase presenting device for presenting a retrieval candidate phrase for retrieval to a user is configured to store association information by associating at least an object referenced by the user with one or more retrieval phrases as a basis of the retrieval. Then, this retrieval candidate phrase presenting device is configured to extract a reference object including a predetermined retrieval phrase associated in the past in the association information from among a series of stored reference objects, and to set a retrieval phrase excluding a predetermined retrieval phrase as one or more retrieval phrases as a basis of retrieval in the respective association information of a series of extracted reference objects as a retrieval candidate phrase with respect to a predetermined retrieval phrase, and to present it to the user.
