PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support key press timing and recognition of a key position, according to progress of player's practice.;SOLUTION: A playback processing section 36 finds a note data which reaches sounding start time, and stores data under sounding which includes information for indicating the note data and a sounding flag for indicating sounding hold, in a data buffer under sounding. A performance operation error determination section 34 searches the data buffer under sounding based on key press information, and finds data under sounding in which the sounding flag is under sounding hold, and the sounding start time of the corresponding sound note is within a predetermined allowed period from key press time, and instructs sounding of the corresponding note data to a musical sound generation circuit 28. Moreover, it searches the note data buffer, and instructs sounding of the note data in which the sounding start time is after the key press time and within the predetermined allowed period from the key press time, to the musical sound generation circuit 28.
