PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an aqueous gel which is free from the formation of ammonia by gelatinization reaction, usable as a deodorizing aromatic agent and quickly proceeding the gelatinization reaction, and to provide an aqueous gel and a gelatinous deodorizing aromatic agent having transparency and being produced by gelatinizing the composition. PSOLUTION: The composition for an aqueous gel comprises gelatin, an alkali-neutralized product of an ethylenically unsaturated compound-maleic anhydride copolymer and a carbodiimide. The aqueous gel comprises a crosslinked material formed by crosslinking the composition.
