PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily distinguish a luminaire for communication with visual observation in a visible light communication system in which the luminaire for communication and a normal one are mixed, and to obtain a satisfactory illumination state involving no incongruity in a visible light communication system.;SOLUTION: The visible light communication system 1 comprises one luminaire La for communication and two normal luminaires Lb. In a lamp la of the luminaire La for communication and a lamp lb of the normal luminaire Lb, a difference in the color temperature of light to be irradiated is not less than 500 K, and a difference in the reciprocal of color temperature ranges from 38×10-6 to 51×10-6. In the lamp la of the luminaire La for communication, irradiation light Ma has a hue near orange, and color temperature is 3,000 K. In the lamp lb of the normal luminaire Lb, irradiation light Mb has a hue near white, and color temperature is 3,500 K.
