PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect correcting method for a liquid crystal display device of a pixel division method by which the size of a defect can be reduced than ever before.;SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes an active matrix array substrate 1 in which separate TFTs 7a, 7b driven by a common gate line 2 and a common source line 3 are connected in the vicinity of an intersection portion 6 of the gate line 2 and the source line 3, and at least one opening portion 15 is formed in a lower-layer side line arranged in a lower layer at the intersection portion 6. The defect correcting method for the liquid crystal display device includes at least the steps of cutting a portion passing above the opening portion of an upper-layer side line, and disconnecting a portion including a defective section in the cut upper-layer side line, from other portions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
