PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for accelerating environmental notification of printing job selection.SOLUTION: The method for notifying influence that selection of printing jobs such as color printing, monochromatic printing and paper types may be influenced on environments includes a step which allocates a state to each of network printer groups and expresses that the state of an operating printer is one of at least an active state, a sleep state and a starting state. The allocated state is given to a graphic user interface and a user can compare states and/or environmental costs which are generated when performing printing by a plurality of printers allowed to be selected by the user out of the printer groups.
