PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a production quantity for each process in the case that a line consisting of a plurality of processes is deteriorated in production efficiency brought about by a failure. PSOLUTION: An estimating method for a production quantity divides a line into a plurality of processes, compares a production quantity of an i-th process in a (d-1)-th operation of a line with a production possible quantity of the i-th process, specifies the smaller quantity among the foregoing quantities as an input quantity from the (i-1)-th process to the i-th process in a d-th operation of the line, adds the input quantity from the (i-1)-th process to the i-th process from the production quantity of the i-th process in the (d-1) operation of the line and also subtracts an input quantity from the i-th process to an (i+1)-th process, then, obtains a production quantity of the i-th process after the d-th operation of the line.
