PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method which allows data races, deadlocks, and the like to be extracted without devising a program for debugging when simulating execution of the program on a software model of an LSI.;SOLUTION: The method of software simulation on a computer includes: executing a program comprising a plurality of threads by a hardware model implemented as software on a software simulator; monitoring accesses of the plurality of threads to resources in the hardware model by a monitor function of the simulator to collect information relating to the accesses; extracting superposition of accesses of the plurality of threads to resource areas, from collected information by the monitor function; and generating a message warning the superposition of accesses by the monitor function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
