PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RF tag-reading device which can read RF tags of two or more different communication specifications, the device shortening time required for reading the tags.;SOLUTION: The RF tag-reading device 1, which reads RF tags 2 of two or more different communication specifications, is provided with; a specification switching-controlling part 31 which determines whether the transmission of electric power is necessary in processing for reading the communication specifications when the available optional communication specifications are started to be read; and a transmission and reception part 4 which conducts the transmission of electric power when the specification switching-controlling part 31 determines that the transmission of electric power is necessary, transmits the read signals of the communications specifications, and receives the response signals of the communication specifications. When the specification switching-controlling part 31 determines that the transmission of electric power is unnecessary, the transmission and reception part skips a part or the whole of the transmission of the electric power of the communication specifications and then transmits the read signals by the transmission and reception part 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
