In present investigation, we have prepared nanocrystalline and porous manganese oxide thin films by facile chemical method from the aqueous solution of manganese sulphate at low temperature. The stainless steel substrates were successively immersed in solution containing manganese ion and sodium hydroxide. These films were used for supercapacitor application. The electrochemical properties of manganese oxide thin film was tested in Na2SO4 electrolyte using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique. The 90% stability is retained after 10,000 cycles in 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte. The maximum value of specific capacitance obtained was 3 14 Fg".
